1. Before we introduce your new release, “Find A Way,” with ForgiveMeTommy! — what drink should our readers sip while listening?
Before your readers listen to my song, I hope they drink something they can immediately spit out. I want a full spit take, big mist in the air. The kind where you’re reading the interview on your phone and suddenly you’re wiping the screen.
2. Give us an update: what’s in store for you for the rest of 2025?
Right now I’m eating sushi with JASA at Bushniwa in Bushwick. This Friday, I’m running to Mexico City to play MN Roy, then I’m back in New York to play Le Bain with Orson. After that, it’s a run of privates, holiday parties, weddings, engagements…the usual. Right now it looks like I’m doing NYE with my family, so I’m really excited to headline that.
In early January, on the 10th, I’m throwing ANTHR FCKNG PARTY at Outer Heaven to celebrate the first VA release on the label. It features some incredible NYC producers (including JASA), and I can’t wait to share it.
3. We live in an age of conspiracy theories. Which harmless one do you secretly wish were true?
Your phone charges faster if you yell at it.
4. What fashion brand best describes your music?
I’d take the love child of Juicy Couture and your local thrift shop. Something everyone can enjoy and appreciate as both a relic of a specific era, but also something with real staying power. And I’d like to see Kozlow or AFP tattooed on a butt.
5. Tell us about your recent releases. Is there a message tying them together?
If you take the third letter of each release title and line them up, it creates an anagram that may or may not point to a hidden treasure buried somewhere in Bushwick.
On a real note, it’s about finishing good music and getting it to the world.
6. Besides producing and violin, any other talents?
I’m fantastic in the sack, number one. And I learned how to juggle in middle school at circus camp. Neither of those is a joke.
7. Give us 5 things people should know about you as an artist.
I started playing violin when I was four after I picked up two sticks off the ground and pretended to fiddle. After that, my lovely mother got me lessons.
Kozlow is my legal middle name.
I try hard to come off chill and easy-going, but I’m actually super chill and easy-going.
I’m just a large, sweaty guy.
I’ve recently discovered that my best sets happen after I sing Elton John songs in the car on the way to the gig. “Blue Jean Bay-beh….”
8. Who or what has been your biggest support along the way?
Shout out to my mom for taking me to violin lessons and orchestra rehearsals when I was growing up. Shout out to my whole family for listening to me practice as a kid. Shout out Avicii. Shout out to Jason Strauss and the Men of Denounce.
9. A question you’d love to answer, but no one has ever asked?
Q: What would my WWE entrance song be?
A: The dial-up internet chime.
