1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
I would recommend a glass of cold water with a slice of lemon, the best drink for warm summer days in my opinion!
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
My last single Tinder came out in July. The song is about looking for love everywhere but just not finding it. From the vibe, I’d say it’s the ultimate summer song. We tried something really cool in the music video for the song. Everything in the video is completely black and white and only I am in colour in my pink dress.
And a few weeks ago, I made the biggest announcement of my career: I’m going on my very first tour in February 2025!!
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
I don’t know if this is a real conspiracy theory but I wish Hogwarts from the Harry Potter books really existed. It used to be my biggest wish to get a letter inviting me to Hogwarts.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
I would describe my music style as a blend of Pop with a punk edge, kind of like pairing an oversized vintage jacket with a pink Dior dress. It’s all about contrasts and making statements.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
I love to cover many different topics in my songs. This ranges from personal problems such as fears and insecurities to socially critical topics such as beauty ideals and physical harassment to songs about love and heartbreak. Writing is simply my way of dealing with all these topics and processing them. (At some point I also started to write not only about things that I experience myself but also to respond to the wishes of my listeners. That’s how songs about depression and eating disorders came about. It’s so incredibly great for me when I can help other people with my lyrics.)
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I can wiggle my ears. That’s not really useful in everyday life, but I don’t think everyone can do it hahaha.
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
1. Pink is my signature color. You‘ll probably never see me without at least one pink item.
2. I grew up in a village with only 13 houses and lots of woods and fields. So there was always a lot of room for creativity.
3. I’m passionate about meaningful lyrics.
4. I can’t really commit to one genre. On the one hand I want to make rock music that you can dance and party to and on the other hand I love emotional ballads, but somehow I also want to make rap music. That’s why my songs are usually a mixture of all genres.
5. I’m studying business communication. In winter I’ll write my bachelor’s thesis and then I’ll have my bachelor of arts! The knowledge I gained during my studies also really helps me with my music career.
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
My parents signed me up for music lessons when I was around 8 years old. At first I learnt to play the guitar a bit and then I wrote my first songs with it. Later, I learnt to play the drums, piano and ukulele and wrote lyrics in every free minute. I actually learnt most of it by practising.
9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
„What‘s a weird thing you do?“
I sort everything by colour. My clothes, my books, my sunglasses, the apps on my phone etc.
