Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?

If you’re into alcoholic drinks chose a glass of sparkling wine or a Limoncello Spritz. If you’d prefer drinking without alcohol have a green tea (jasmine) with two ice cubes or a refreshing sparkling water. Cheers!

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I just released my new album called “PLATZ” which in German can mean space, place, room or spot. What I love about the title is that it’s a very open term and leaves a lot of “Platz” for the listener. The name derives from one track on the album called “garkeinen#platz”.

It’s my third solo album if you start counting in 2012 when I released my first Indie Solo album “Haus” as a young musician starting my carrier. PLATZ is an album that combines the two musical worlds that I love the most: songwriting and electronics. I produced it together with Cologne based producer millhope who perfectly understood my vision and translated it into an electronic chanson sound.

The PLATZ tour with my gorgeous band will start in June and bring us to all parts of Germany.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

I wish cats would take over and rule the world!

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Fluffy Oversized Astronaut-Jogging-Wear

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

These are very personal stories about an intangible longing for being somewhere else (“Nehmt mich mit”), struggling with letting go of a relationship (“Juli”) and simply opening your mouth and speaking your truth (“Burn on”). They are stories of my past two, three years and I’m honestly trying to find my “PLATZ”, my space and my place in life. So it might be a coming of age-album for a grown up person, searching, letting go partying (“Dancer in the blue”, “Wasserbombe”).

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I have a weird superpower with which I know almost precisely what time it is any time of the day, like a very good feeling for how much time has passed. I also remember people’s birthdays very well and very fast.

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

– I’m a big fan of Björk, Imogen Heap, Tori Amos, Feist, Camille, Perel – just to name a few incredibly inspiring female artists who have created their very own sound and artistic vision.

I have a need for trying out new sounds, re-inventing my musical language with every album that I do.

I appreciate a lot to work with people that I’ve known for many years and establish trustful and relaxed relationships with the people I work with.

When I have song ideas the demos I record sound so crappy, you wouldn’t believe it. It’s almost butcher-ish. But I let it be and just try to focus on the core of the idea: melody, lyrics, vibe… If that convinces me then the idea is good to be worked on.

I’m libra and shift immensely between loving what I do and then doubting it to the ground. And up and down and up and down…

8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??

Definitely my friends who come to shows either to support the concerts in first row, to drive me there, to help me selling merch, hold my hand.

And then there’s my band: Philipp Ullrich and Mel Geisler!

But also Yoga has been a big support for me. I do a round of Yoga before every show. Even if it’s only one sun salutation, it helps me immensely to feel grounded and strong.

And then there’s a lot of support from fans who supported my crowdfunding for the current album by inviting me to play living room concerts in their houses, get a vocal coaching with me or simply buying the album “PLATZ” on vinyl or CD.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

If you were a movie character – who would you be?

– A mixture of Leeloo (5th element), Charlotte (Lost in Translation) and Deputy Andy Brennan (Twin Peaks).
