1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?
In Korea, we have a drink called Soju. If you are an adult, I would recommend having three quick shots of it before listening to my music. You might feel a little dizzy, but it helps you drift into the sound in a fun way.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I released an EP called Moon Eater on 11 September. It is a very special record for me, filled with emotions and reflections of who I am right now as an artist.
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
I wish it were true that animals secretly talk about us when we are not around. The thought of cats gossiping about their humans makes me smile every time.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
I would say Vivienne Westwood. It feels vintage, a little rebellious, and beautifully imperfect, yet always elegant. I often wear her clothes in daily life and also in my music videos.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
My songs often explore change and identity. They are about how we grow, fall apart, and find ourselves again. I like expressing emotions that people do not usually say out loud. That is how I connect with others.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I am quite good at flower arranging. My aunt used to run a flower shop, and when I was in primary school, the bouquets and baskets I made actually sold very well. I still remember how proud I felt each time someone bought one.
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
I write and produce my own music.
I love mixing vintage sounds with modern energy.
I am shy, but I am fearless when I sing.
I value sincerity more than perfection.
I believe that art should always grow and change, just like people do.
8. The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??
My listeners, always. Some of them have been with me since my early cover songs, and their loyalty keeps me grounded and thankful. They are the reason I continue to create music.
9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
Question: Have you ever imagined who might be listening to your music at this very moment
Answer: I have imagined someone walking home alone at night with their earphones in.
