G-SHOCK launches first ring watch

G-SHOCK today unveils a revolution for all G-SHOCK fans: The DWN-5600 is the first G-SHOCK in a bezel-style case, featuring a shock-resistant design and water resistance up to 20 bar. Its bezel size makes it the smallest watch ever made in the history of the Japanese brand.

The new DWN-5600 retains the iconic shape of the DW-5600, but unlike the original, it measures only about one-tenth the size of a standard DW-5600UE. The shock-resistant and water-resistant case, made of bio-based resin, measures 23.4 mm × 20 mm × 7.5 mm. The shock-resistant construction is achieved through the miniaturization of components, including the battery, and the use of high-density assembly technology,
which precisely positions the components in a limited space.

The intricate shapes of the bezel and strap are precisely reproduced down to the smallest detail using injection molding. The pushers, clasp, and case back are made of the same stainless steel as the G-SHOCK wristwatches. The dial features a 6-digit digital LCD, identical to that of the 5600 models. Like all resin models, the strap has holes to adjust the watch to the wearer’s finger size.

The DWN-5600 displays the time to the second and features a calendar, LED backlight, and stopwatch functions. The watch also has a dual time function that displays two different times simultaneously, making it extremely practical in the form of a
finger ring.

The DWN-5600 comes in specially designed packaging that presents the watch as a prized collector’s item. A display stand featuring the G-logo design makes the watch the perfect gift for any G-SHOCK fan.
