Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?
Something strong for sure – depending on your mood of course! My go-to is a gin and tonic or a nice wine.
Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I’ve just released my new single, ‚Spring Cleaning‘ along with the music video that aired last week. I’m currently in the UK working on so much music so believe me there will be plenty to come!
We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
I’m not a big conspiracy theorist to be honest! I’m more inclined to think along the lines of another species being out there I guess haha.
What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Thrift stores/Vintage Warehouses/Flea Markets. Think maximalist, retro and a bit eccentric.
Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
My latest song is about my own recovery from domestic violence and reclaiming the space that kind of trauma takes up in your brain. I often write about my own experiences but sometimes I also draw from a lot of other characters I will come up with. A lot of my lyrics (less so in this song) are very tongue-in-cheek and a bit silly. I love to laugh at myself.
Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I spend 99% of my time on music as I produce for other artists as well, but I also love to garden and build things! I converted my van to live in for a while there.
Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
1 – I am very sarcastic and silly and it’s how I like my writing to be.
2 – I can sing over 4 octaves
3 – I produce everything myself as well as producing/engineering for other artists.
4 – I play a lot of the instruments on my tracks! I played classical flute for most of my life.
5 – My music will always grow and evolve sonically with me, but they always connect in different ways (super fans will know what I mean).
The road so far…. who or what was your biggest support??
Honestly just the people I now have in my team believing in me has been the biggest blessing. I feel so grateful to be supported by a team of people who believe in me so much. I spent a very long time being self-managed/funded etc so I never take this for granted.
A question you’d like to answer but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
Where do you see yourself heading as an artist? – I’d love to be a Mark Ronson/FINNEAS type of artist. Get to produce for incredible artists and then get be as weird and creative as I want in my own artistry. There’s also so few women in music production and I’d love to be part of that change.
