Editorial: Ashford by Nige Rorbach + Model Interview

Ashford and I connected a few years ago via Instagram. I immediately loved his look and he liked my work, so we got on ! ha ha. Over time we began to talk more and more, always saying we would love to meet and work together one day, but with me in the UK and Ashford in Canada it didn’t seem possible.
Then last year we got talking about the possibility of him coming to visit, and thankfully he said yes.
To say we clicked instantly is an understatement, from the minute we met in person the conversation flowed, we laughed, hung out (and drank lots of coffee) and spent two days being creative in a few different shooting locations.

He’s an absolute natural in front of the camera and easily one of the nicest, most genuine guys I’ve ever worked with.

I met Nige on Instagram I think a little over two years ago. And since day one instant friendship. I was always a fan of their work and we discussed me doing some shoots with them for a while. So I finally took the plunge in 2026 and flew to London lol. Nige made the shoots very easy, comfortable and fun, with lots of laughter was had but how could it not be fun when you are shooting with a friend. We did so many photos and so it’s hard to pinpoint any that I particularly like but I do love the cowboy set. I am a country boy at heart and grew up on an acreage so it hit home for me lol.

1. How did you get into modeling?

Modeling had always been a passion of mine. I tried to get into professional modeling when I was a young adolescent. That came with its own struggles that I decided to not pursue it. One day a guy messaged me on social media and asked if I wanted to model for his book that he was creating. And so I’ve been doing it ever since.

2. What are you doing if you are not modeling?

Oh goodness I’m a pretty boring guy lol, I work a regular 9-5 job, then it’s usually the gym for me as I’ve been taking that a lot more serious lately. Then it’s Reno’s on my condo, hanging out with friends and solving jigsaw puzzles. (I am an old man at heart).

3. The most spontaneous/difficult/strange thing you’ve ever done?

Hmm I’ve done a few things, one is backpacking for 6 months around South East Asia, I’ve also went skydiving which was cool but made me very sick (severe motion sickness lol).

4. What’s your life motto?

I don’t really know if I have one, but I believe that if you can’t change it don’t dwell on it. As well things happen learn to find the lesson in it and move forward.

5. Describe your personal style – Favourite Brands/Fragrance?!

Hmm I’m a very spotty/casual dress kind of guy. I like my jeans and T-shirts but I tend to wear clothes that hug my body… I didn’t put in the work for people not to notice

6. What genre of music best describes you?

I love my pop divas!! As I’m a car/shower singer kind of guy. But I do like a bit of everything. Some artist I love are Kelly Clarkson, the pretty reckless, Doechii, Kerli, Ashniiko, Black Pink. I could probably go on forever lol.

7. Where are your roots – The best thing about/to do in your hometown?

I’m a country boy at heart. Grew up on an acreage outside of the „big“ city. Surrounded by farms. Horse back riding, pigs, cows, llamas and goats, were some of the farm like animals I had growing up. Always had some dogs and cats.

Training/fitness: I’ve been working out for quite some time now. I started working out in 2020 during COVID as there wasn’t much to do. In the past three years I’ve been a lot more consistent and more dedicated to working out. I do weightlifting and I go to the gym about 6-7 times a week.
