DON’T BELIEVE IN GHOSTS – SINGLE ‚BROOKLYN BABY‘ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

Well, that depends on when you’re reading this, but I’d say a coffee is always my go-to drink when diving into new music. It’s got that energy kick to set the right vibe.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

We just released our latest single, “Brooklyn Baby.” This song is close to us; it’s about New York City, our hometown, and the people who’ve left everything behind to come here chasing their dreams. We’ve also got a music video out that captures NYC’s energy and some tour dates lined up soon, including a hometown show at the Mercury Lounge on November 30th!

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band!

  1. We’re all about living in the present and not letting the past define us.
  2. We write a ton – over a hundred song ideas each year, though most never see the light of day.
  3. Filbert Gottfried made a cameo in our video for „Don’t Wake Me Up.“
  4. Dr. Fink from Prince & The Revolution co-wrote and played on a track from our first album.
  5. Our music has been featured on shows like AppleTV+’s WeCrashedInk Master, and the U.S. Open.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Our style leans toward modern with a touch of timeless edge, so something like AllSaints or a rugged take from John Varvatos. It’s got a bit of that rock ’n‘ roll grit but fits right into city life.

5. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true?

Probably the one about dinosaurs still living inside the Earth! Imagine finding a world full of them right under our feet. It’d be like stepping into a whole other time, without the risk of ending up in a Jurassic-style chase!

6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

More support for artists starting out. It would be great if the industry made it easier to get noticed for talent, not just numbers. If more resources went toward helping artists grow, we’d see a lot more original music out there.

7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

Our songs are about connection, resilience, and pushing forward. Life can be chaotic, and our music speaks to those moments where you’re working through challenges but not losing hope. It’s all about finding strength and celebrating new beginnings.

8. A question you’d like to answer but have never been asked in an interview before?

Q: How do you handle creative block?
A: We try to just keep moving, even if the ideas aren’t sticking. Sometimes, a little break, a walk through the city, or a change of scenery is all it takes to reset and find a fresh spark.
