Cuervo y Sobrinos Unveils the New Historiador Tradición

A New Chapter in a Legendary History

The Historiador Tradición marks a milestone in Cuervo y Sobrinos’ history — the first timepiece from the Maison to receive COSC certification, underscoring an exceptional commitment to precision and excellence. This model perfectly captures the spirit of the brand: a harmonious blend of Cuban soul and Swiss savoir-faire, bridging heritage and modernity.

Refined Case, Enhanced Presence

At the heart of the redesign is a newly developed glass box case, combining vintage charm with contemporary proportions. The polished stainless-steel case features graceful curves and refined ergonomics, ensuring modern comfort while preserving the timeless elegance of the Historiador line.

The timepiece now reveals its heart through an open sapphire caseback, showcasing the Soprod Newton calibre, a high-performance automatic movement that is COSC-certified and individually numbered. This distinction represents Cuervo y Sobrinos’ first official recognition for horology precision — a remarkable achievement that elevates the brand’s watchmaking credentials.

Heritage Reinterpreted

The dial remains faithful to Cuervo y Sobrinos’ distinctive aesthetic, adorned with the signature frappage texture and the double cartouche bearing the historical logo. Available in three captivating shades — silver, champagne, and burgundy — the palette balances timeless refinement with bold personality.

Each colour variation is produced in a limited edition of 282 pieces, individually numbered — a symbolic tribute to the Maison’s founding year, 1882.

A Timeless Emblem of Cuervo y Sobrinos

The new Historiador Tradición encapsulates the Maison’s enduring philosophy: blending elegant design with technical mastery. By introducing the brand’s first COSC-certified calibre, Cuervo y Sobrinos not only reaffirms its dedication to heritage and craftsmanship but also takes a confident step into a new era of Swiss precision.
