Today, COS reopens the doors to its reimagined store in the heart of Berlin Mitte. Designed in-house, the
space reflects Berlin’s rich, post-industrial heritage, as brutalist influences are complemented by a
considered balance of material exploration and carefully curated furnishings.
A soft white palette anchors the interior, providing a neutral backdrop for COS’ collections. Spanning
502m² across two floors, curved walls guide visitors throughout the space, finished in hand-applied
polished plaster. In contrast, dark marble stucco defines the stairwells and fitting room
Each piece of furniture is carefully sourced: Jean-Michel Gadoua’s bold leather Amon-Ra Casual Throne
sits beside a sculptural, hand carved side table by Studio AOAO. Alexandre Joncas’ levitating La Chaise
chair – made from steel and linoleum – meets Ibiyane’s sculptural stools. Mario Bellini’s Le Bambole sofa
– an icon of 1970s soft modernism, is paired with Gadoua’s Adult Contemporary Low Table, crafted from
a single piece of aluminum, creating a dialogue between vintage design and contemporary sensibility.
Garments and accessories are displayed in bamboo wardrobes and vitrines, complemented by aluminum
rail systems and recycled plastic shelving by Smile Plastics. Paper Factor’s bespoke papier-mâché and
plywood tables add artisanal tactility. Underfoot, a seamless expanse of microcement flooring – a pigment
infused surface – offers a sense of refined, understated elegance.
Now open, the Berlin Mitte flagship presents COS’ Pre-Fall 2025 Womenswear and Menswear collections.
