Since the success of the Yellowstone series, Western style is making a comeback. This summer, Columbia is reviving the hype with its Icons collection, bringing the Oregon Outback to us. The collection is inspired by the Alvord Desert in southeastern Oregon, with its golden sand landscapes by day and deep, vibrant sunset colors by night. The desert forms a fascinating contrast to the lush green forests and humid climate for which Columbia’s home state is known. The region is characterized by a large, dry lake bed, the playa. It is 19 kilometers long and 11 kilometers wide. The surrounding Steens Mountains form a striking backdrop. Despite the harsh climatic conditions, the region is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including sagebrush, juniper trees, and the famously wild Kiger Mustangs.
The Icons collection consists of classics that Columbia reinterprets with contemporary colors, prints, and fabrics. The entire collection is 100% gender-neutral. The soft desert tones and versatile designs make them the perfect companion, not just for western and horse fans.
