G-SHOCK today announces the MTG-B4000. This new model features a striking case developed through a collaborative process between a human design team and AI technology. The MTG-B4000 joins the MT-G series, whose watches all utilize a unique construction that optimally blends the respective properties of metal and carbon.

With the G-SHOCK MT-G series, CASIO once again pushes the boundaries of shock-resistant construction by combining different materials to create practical and original designs that transcend conventional norms.
The new MTG-B4000 is a shock-resistant watch with a striking case, developed through a collaborative process between a human design team and generative AI, utilizing a combination of different materials. This is the first time that a CASIO consumer watch has utilized generative AI technology in its development process. In pursuit of innovative craftsmanship, the design teams used this advanced technology as a creative tool to explore new design possibilities and overcome the challenge of realizing a complex, unconventional structure – something that would have been difficult to achieve using conventional methods. The result is a case that combines G-SHOCK’s signature robustness with a striking, unconventional aesthetic—a design only made possible through collaboration with AI.
Another innovation is the integration of the strap connections directly into the case. This allows the case to directly absorb the forces acting on the strap, reducing stress on the middle case and further improving shock resistance.
The case is machined from a base material consisting of laminated layers of carbon and fiberglass, creating a beautiful layered pattern effect visible from the side. The top of the bezel is intricately finished, including a precisely finished surface with Sallaz polish. This gives the watch a sophisticated appearance with distinct depth and detail from every angle.
The MTG-B4000 also boasts practical features. In addition to receiving time signals from six global transmitters, it supports „Mobile Link“ for pairing with a smartphone via Bluetooth®. This not only enables automatic time adjustment but also many other functions when used in conjunction with the CASIO WATCHES app.
