The launch is supported by a campaign under the headline “From the Ground Up,” which conceptually reflects the purpose of “natural walking,” deeply rooted in BIRKENSTOCK’s DNA. The unique, characteristic technology of the original BIRKENSTOCK footbed, patented a century ago, has made the brand famous worldwide and continues to give it an exceptional position. With growing importance, BIRKENSTOCK is transferring its orthopedic expertise beyond sandals and clogs to the universe and diversity of closed shoes, not least to bring its functional and gender-neutral brand philosophy more to the forefront.
A UNIVERSAL EXPRESSION OF TEMPERAMENTAL SPIRIT AND PURPOSE
The HIGHWOOD MOC LACE LOW incorporates the DEEP BLUE FOOTBED, a four-layer construction designed for even weight distribution, reduced stress, foot stabilization, and support of the natural rolling motion of the foot. A breathable insole ensures optimal air circulation.
Functionality has always been the defining element of BIRKENSTOCK design. However, the contemporary aesthetic, inspired by moccasin design in its form and craftsmanship, such as the signature visible stitching, also contributes to the appeal of the HIGHWOOD MOC LACE LOW.
The new moc toe is crafted from premium suede or grained leather, both of which develop a beautiful patina over time.
