Since its inception, Bikkembergs has stood for a distinctive brand identity that unites fashion, sport, and stylistic innovation into a unique vision. In the 1990s and early 2000s, the label established itself as a pioneer of a powerful, physical, and authentic aesthetic—characterized by the fusion of sporting inspiration and Italian tailoring. Today, this spirit takes center stage once again with the relaunch of its iconic Soccer line under the creative direction of Lee Wood.
Early to the runways of Antwerp and Paris, Bikkembergs broke free from the traditional boundaries of the fashion world. The brand shifted its collections to football stadiums from Milan to Barcelona, making football its central arena of expression. A pivotal moment came in 2000 when Dirk Bikkembergs conducted an impromptu fitting with the captain of FC Fossombrone—a small Italian club he later acquired and transformed into a testing ground for style and performance. This encounter led to a clear realization: fashion can and should speak a more direct, accessible, and authentic language.
From this perspective emerged the Bikkembergs Soccer line – a sneaker collection that understands sport as a cultural narrative form and consciously breaks away from the conventions of haute couture. True to this philosophy, the brand has outfitted renowned teams such as Inter Milan, Málaga CF, and the Russian national team over the years, as well as internationally acclaimed players like Paolo Cannavaro, Giorgio Chiellini, Ludovic Giuly, and Thomas Helveg.

The relaunch of the Soccer sneaker began in June 2025 with a high-profile collaboration with Gosha Rubchinskiy, former Creative Director at Yeezy. He reinterpreted the model from a distinct streetwear perspective, embraced the Bloke Core aesthetic, and brought the Soccer back into the spotlight for a new generation.
This trend will continue with the upcoming Spring/Summer 2026 season: New versions of the soccer sneaker will appear in high-quality, innovative leathers and colorways, inspired by the early 2000s – in line with the ongoing Y2K revival.
A central element of the collection remains the iconic Soccer shoe, a defining Bikkembergs classic. Its design has been carefully refined and is reflected in new patterns, embroideries, and prints throughout the collection. The color palette ranges from elegant, neutral shades to striking accents like sky blue and vibrant red – a natural balance between tradition and modernity.
Today, as ever, the Soccer is a timeless icon that connects generations. With this relaunch, Bikkembergs reconnects with its roots and reaffirms its vision: an authentic, dynamic attitude where fashion meets sport, style meets movement – and heritage meets innovation.
