aibai & vinny drops self-titled EP + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

We’d go for a lavender iced latte while listening to the EP—something calming, smooth, and refreshing, just like the vibe of the music.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

We’re currently working on a new song that we’re really excited about—it has a slightly different feel, blending R&B-inspired vocals with our signature dreamy indie folk sound. We’re also hoping to start working on our debut album in the coming months. Since we live in different states, playing live shows has been a bit of a challenge, but we’re definitely hoping to hit the stage together sometime soon!

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?!

We met at work and might be one of the most unexpected duos—Vinny’s roots are in R&B, while Aibai comes from an electronic music background, and together we’ve found a new sound in indie folk.

While music is a big passion for both of us, we also share love for other things—like pickleball—and we’re both serious foodies.

Everything we do is remote. Unfortunately we live in 2 different states.

Even though we’ve only hung out in person four times, we’ve built a strong bond and created some really amazing music together.

We both come from unique diverse backgrounds which helps shape who we are and how we create music.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Our music aligns with a ‚granola‘ fashion style. It has a woodsy, outdoorsy, nature-connected energy that reflects the reflective, folksy tone of our sound.

5. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

The idea that there’s an entire hidden civilization inside the Earth is kind of wild—but also fascinating. We’d definitely be into that.

6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

We’d love to see the industry become more accessible to emerging artists and underrepresented communities. There’s so much talent out there that doesn’t get the same visibility or opportunities due to systemic barriers. Making space for more diverse voices would only enrich the music world as a whole.

7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

Our songs are rooted in reflection and connection—to nature, to personal journeys, and to the quieter moments that often get overlooked. We explore themes like growth, change, nostalgia, and the hardships of relationships—finding love, losing love, and everything in between. The message is about slowing down, tuning in, and embracing the imperfect beauty of life. Each song feels like a walk through the woods—sometimes calm, sometimes stirring, but always honest and grounded.

8. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Question: What’s something you wish people understood better about your music?

Answer: We wish people understood that simplicity doesn’t mean shallow—our music may feel gentle and calm, but it carries layers of deep emotions and stories beneath its surface.
