WOOLRICH FOR TEMELLINI DOG À PORTER

WOOLRICH PRESENTS THE FIRST COLLECTION DEVOTED TO THE CANINE WORLD

To mark International Dog Day, celebrated on 26 August, Woolrich joins forces with Temellini Dog à Porter, brand leader in the development of canine couture garments aimed at protecting our four-legged friends from the elements, too.

The collection, entirely made in Italy, was inspired by the Woolrich archive and the garments that shaped its history. The outcome is a capsule where the iconic Ramar Cloth stars, a fabric made of 60% cotton and 40% nylon that offers comfort and performance at the same time.

This versatile material is utilised in all six garments and features – without a membrane but with a Teflon finish that makes it water resistant – in the two parkas padded with recycled wadding, is paired with “buffalo check” wool in the two overshirts, and boasts a three-layer construction to ensure maximum waterproofness and check cotton lining in the two raincoats.

With a view to support the circular economy and take an approach that is mindful of the future, all components – from fabrics to labels to accessories – have been selected among those that are already available, thus avoiding additional dedicated manufacturing. Shot by Luca Grottoli, the campaign focuses on the relationship between humans and their best friends, conveyed through a frank, spontaneous and genuine viewpoint.

The people photographed are not models but real couples of creative artists with their dogs: from designer Danilo Paura to content creator Niki Wujie, from Elia Fornari (Kyle NG’s second-in-command at Brain Dead) to Alice Sofia Navarin, founder of the Rat Hat brand, up to talent Rita Cremona and graphic designer Luca Ricci.
