Hello! Thank you for having me. I’m WHO SHOT SCOTT, and I express my soul through music.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
My new single/video ‚LOVE WE’LL NEVER KNOW‘ is currently out everywhere and I’m really grateful for all the love and support I’ve been receiving on it. It’s unlike any track ever made in the sense that I really indulged myself and delved deep into my admiration for 90’s alternative rock, which is what influenced the sound of the song.
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
– I produce all of my own music
– Every single one of my songs comes from a true story from my life
– I was born in Iraq, and moved to Russia before finally settling in New Zealand with my family when I was a child. I believe the diverse surroundings of my upbringing definitely shaped my sound
– I love collaborating, but when I’m working on my own stuff I’m a loner-creative
– My visuals are just as much a part of my soul expression as the music
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
This is definitely a tough one! Maybe Virgil Abloh-era Louis Vuitton. Experimental, artful, and a lot of care in the quality.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
All of my song topics are stories from my life. I don’t approach song-writing in the traditional way and I’ve found that it works best for me. Sometimes it’s super vulnerable and dark, but for me that’s where the beauty lies.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I’m very into film, and have directed quite a few music videos. One day I hope to get back in that world, It’s definitely one of my favourite mediums.

Heightened senses, heightened energy!
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
I taught myself how to produce music when I was 17 years old, and have been learning and growing ever since. Songwriting is cool, but being a producer gives you the power to create worlds sonically, it’s super liberating.
