TY In The Building – „Vice Avenue“ + Exclusive Interview

1 Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!

Hey guys, this is TY In The Building I’m an artist/rapper/song writer from Detroit, Michigan

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

We just released our single “Vice Avenue” on August 20th that’s available on all platforms with the music video being on YouTube. Its been great though people are doing tik tok videos to the song, sharing it on there socials messaging me telling how much they love it. it’s been going great so far, I’m very grateful.

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

Well, I’m very passionate & expressive. I really enjoy music and music culture. When I make music there’s true emotion on how I’m feeling behind the songs rather that’s an energetic, fun, club mood, or a dark emotional deep mood, my story and personal events, or talking about the grind and determination to win in life, I give each record a piece of who I am. I’m extremely honest and motivated person.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Nike- Just Do It.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

I put all my emotions into my songs. Confident, Sad, Uplifting, Energetic, and I do that for a few reasons. First, I want to show my listeners that I’m human and we all have several moods and feelings. Second, I like trying new things and touching on different topics, I believe that’s what makes a great artist. For example, I have a single “Sick of Me” which is about doing well in life, chasing after what you want, making money, getting attention, but you feel like the world is sick of seeing it, but even though you feel that way it makes you want to put it in there face even more. Another single “Cuisines” is about being in the studio constantly grinding songs out, work ethic, pushing until you find success, and the most recent single “Vice Avenue” is just about having fun in a party or at the club. My message is to Level Up in life. Chase your goals, be confident, and be who you are not what the world wants you to be.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

If sitting in a chair playing video games on my PS5 for hours on end counts as a special talent lets use that one haha.

7. Being on stage feels like….!

Being on top of the world. It’s so exhilarating your hyped up your nervous but you know that these people came to see you and a show and there’s not many better feelings out there.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

It goes pretty far back. I was always good at writing when I was in Elementary school and I was in band playing all sorts of Instruments from Elementary to Highschool. It wasn’t until I was 16 that I really started getting into rap music and starting writing my own raps in my phone. I recorded my first song when I was 18, I’m 24 now and I’ve been going ever since.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but have never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Question: How long does it take you to complete a song from start to finish?

It can vary forsure. It can take me 30 minutes to finish some songs when its simple or my ideas are just flooding out of my head. But sometimes ill be stuck on a song for weeks or even months just trying to finish the direction or waiting on a feature. Once its recorded it can take me 30 minutes to an hour to record the song and then a few hours to get it mix and mastered well.
