Tungevaag – „Young Summer“ + Exclusive Interview

Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!

I am Tungevaag, Norwegian artist, producer and DJ. Have been into music since 2008, 4 billion streams, x110 gold/platinum status and signed to Spinnin Records in the Netherlands.

Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?

The new single ‘Young Summer’ is a track I have been working on for more than 1.5 years It has been done over 30 different “drops” and productions. It was Tommy LaVerdi who sent it to me. He did the topline together with Jesper Borgen and Iselin Solheim (from Alan Walker – Faded) and I fell in love with it. Jesper Borgen also helped me with guitars and instruments in the track. I am looking forward for the next tour, whenever it will be.

Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

I can’t play any instruments.
I never had a proper studio, yet.
I am very business interested (plans, strategies, stats, promo etc).
I have come up with and directed several of my own music videos.
I believe in that even how bad you are in something; you will get what you want if you are interested and work hard enough.

What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Not sure about that.

Do you have bad habits? A guilty pleasure you can’t seem to quit?

Watching stupid tiktok videos, had to delete the app, so I guess I managed to quit it.

Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I like to fish but rarely have luck.

Being on stage feels like….!

WTF! Are all these people here to listen to what I want to play?

Must Have – and No-Go in your Wardrobe! – Favourite Fashion Brand and Fragrance?

Haven’t been much into fashion last year due too much at home, but sweatpants is never wrong when at home and taking a flight. No go must be leatherjackets, isn’t that time over for DJs now?

A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Not really a question, but I think there is too much focus on that DJs and artists need to make everything themselves. Imagine if everyone at a football team want to score and have the success alone. Like football, I see music as a team game. It helps a lot to work with different people, share ideas and release collaborations now and then. That has been an important factor for me and my career.
