SIMON CRACKER – S/S 2021 – backstage photostory by Giada Pasini Photography

ALBA Collection – SIMON CRACKER SS2021 secret fashion show
A story made of petticoats.
When I was little and I slept with my grandmother, she always brought me her very soft silk petticoat and I fell asleep rolling up in it, while she finished tidying up the house before joining me.
With this collection I wanted to remember that moment, that feeling of enveloping security that gave me that simple garment that smelled good.
During the pandemic I was forced to detach myself, like everyone else, from reality. We were forced to see our loved ones through a screen. Now I pretend to get back the beautiful, real things, the hugs and kisses of the aunts that stain your cheeks with lipstick.
This parade takes place in the fields of my grandparents, in the place where I built forts with old tents and sheets and the setting for my adventures in Graziella.

The well that could not be approached, the escapes from the wasps so as not to get stung and the tears on the peeled knees, the vegetable garden that my grandfather built, which once brought to the table fruit and vegetables collected a few moments before … striking, for some, but for me it is an embroidery of memories that all together help me to face the future, even when it is scary.
