1.Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!
I’m Oli Benz and I’m from a small surf town in Australia called Noosa. I now write and produce music from a small surf town in New York, called Montauk.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
The new single is called ‘Jungle Heart’ we have had a great response from Spotify and should be stacking an EP together which will include this track. I will be doing a West Coast Tour come October, November dates to still be confirmed, and working on another animated video for the track.
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
- I like to write songs that speak to the heart.
- You will always feel an emotion whether it’s a lyric or a beat.
- I love a thumping House beat with disco strings
- I grew up in the church so I generally have a pop song structure, with a strong Bridge.
- If you ever come see me live, my band and I will be having a ball of fun and I hope that rubs off on you.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Kinda like my style, comfy yet a little over the top. Silky Gucci with a splash of color.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
I generally write about a type of love. Whether it’s the love of music or human attraction.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I grew up in the ocean so surfing is a big part of my life, however I love getting handy with the tools around the house. So a bit of carpentry gets me going as well.
7. Being on stage feels like….!
A great time. Always found it a natural feeling.
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
Singing church songs was how it all started, then learning to play them, whether its on the guitar or drums. Once you’ve got that figured out, writing your own was always the next step.

How good is your #flykickseries on instagram! How did you come up with that?
I basically had one good shot that i posted, and whenever I would do a shoot i would attempt one, I kinda just got good at getting that shot.
