The Netflix original series The Society has a talented cast of both industry veterans and newcomers, including Benjamin Breault. In The show, Breault plays a character named Blake. He is a citizen of the fictional town called New Ham, and amongst the chaos Blake risks his life to gather food and find land to farm. All ten episodes of season 1 can be found on Netflix. As of July 9th, The Society has been renewed for a second season which will be released in 2020. Along with The Society, Benjamin was recently seen at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival for a feature called Selah and The Spades. In the film Benjamin plays David, a sleazy rich kid who’s been handed everything his entire life. The film stars Jharrel Jerome, Lovie Simone, Celeste O’ Conner, Jesse Williams, and Gina Torres. In July, Amazon Studios bought worldwide rights to Selah and the Spades, with plans to make a full length original series. The series is set to be written, directed, and produced by the original writer and director Tayarisa Poe. Along with the series and the feature film, Benjamin has been busy co-writing and starring in his own short film called Playing with Fire. It is set to be released in the film festival circuit by September 2019. In the meantime, Benjamin continues to audition and study his craft as an actor.
