1. Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!
Hey everyone! My name is Mylo Quinn, and I’m a „dread-pop“ artist from Kelowna, BC, Canada. I’ve been writing music for over a decade and I’m finally writing my own solo music!
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
This new single ‚Drift‘ is the first single from my debut EP ‚Light‘ that will come out in early 2022. The music video is out on YouTube, and you will see a couple more videos and singles coming real soon 🙂
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
I’m actually primarily a metal musician, I sing and play bass in @livingmachinesofficial, scream in @paleskysounds, I’m a husband and the father of two cats (Rook and Lord Chamberlain), and writing music is my favourite form of therapy.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Black skinny jeans and blank contemporary t-shirts. So basically, american apparel but in 2020 haha.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
I write usually when I’m feeling down or like I need to work through something I’m going through. This whole EP is about overcoming substance abuse and finally breaking that cycle in my life (I quit drinking a year ago on Oct 26th).
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
One of my other passions is writing stories. I’ve self-published a scifi comic (Gemini: After Onyx) and a novella (Re:Awaken) under my independent publishing house @splicecomics.
7. Being on stage feels like….!
The best feeling ever. Period. Nothing comes even close to performing music to an engaged audience.
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
I’m mostly self taught. My first instrument was bass, then I picked up the drums, and eventually made my way over to acoustic guitar and singing. I basically just learned a thousand songs, and eventually started to figure out how to write my own. And if I wasn’t sure about anything, there was always YouTube haha.

For everyone who often jokes about whether or not I’m related to Tim McGraw (my real name is Quinn McGraw), the answer is flat out no haha. Just going to put that one to bed now 😛
