MULLALLY – „LONELY TOO LONG“ + Exclusive Interview

Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!

Hey! My name is Mullally, I’m a 24 year old soul singer from Norfolk. I write, sing and produce, as well as do a lot of fishing.

Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I’ve just released a new single called ‘Lonely too Long’, in a slightly more chill/ alternative lane. There’s going to be a video in the new year plus a hell of a lot more music.

Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

  • I love a blend, a fusion. If I can cram old school and something new into a record then I’m happy.
  • I play instruments. I love getting into the feel and vibe of a track, and often find myself playing most of the instruments on a song.
  • I’ve had a long and alternative education in music; I was playing to crowds of thousand at festivals as a teenager in a band, spent 3 years signed at a major, been to school to study it and written with people from all kinds of backgrounds. It’s been a blast.
  • I’m SUPER honest. Maybe too much so, I often get my self into trouble by saying exactly what I mean. It can really turn people off, but can also make friends.
  • I love pop. I’m usually skirting around different lanes and genres but I ALWAYS end up back at pop music.

What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

country / street wear. I’m a country boy at heart, so Im regularly sporting some dungarees or some steel toe cap boots, however I’m very partial to a fresh tracksuit or a a well fitted tee.

Do you have bad habits? A guilty pleasure you can’t seem to quit?

Too many to list. Let’s leave it at that…

Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I’m a pretty good fisherman and not a bad cook. I’ve been known to kick a ball around occasionally but I wouldn’t say it’s a talent of mine.

Being on stage feels like….!

I’m doing what I was born to. There’s nothing like the rush that comes from entertaining thousands of people, it’s a feeling like no other.

Must Have – and No-Go in your Wardrobe! – Favorite Fashion Brand and Fragrance?

Must have would be grey joggers. I wear these most days, especially in the studio..

No go would be skinny jeans. Can’t even get my legs in them.

Favourite fashion brand at the minute is Carhartt, they do some great working gear that looks cool. Warm and robust, I’m a bit of a dad when it comes to clothes.

Fragrance is this organic stuff I found in a market in Suffolk. Her and her husband make them in their garage, super sustainable and smells dope.

A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

What’s my favourite thing to cook?

I like to cook for my friends in groups, so most of the time it’s something that can stretch across 6 or so of us. My new speciality is oxtail stew, which has been going down a treat with the gang.
