James Cowe – „How I became an OnlyFans Model – My Story“

1) Tell us about your previous job with the NHS – what did you do, how long were you there, did you enjoy it etc?

I worked in the private care sector as a health care assistant in dementia which specialised in end of life care.
My role was a senior health care assistant and I worked 6 years in total.
I found this job highly rewarding as I could see the efforts of my care having a positive impact on the patients.
Working in this industry is extremely rewarding but also comes with very high pressure and responsibility.

2) What made you decide to leave? As much info as possible would be amazing.

For such a long time I struggled with such low pay which resulted in debt problems and found myself always having to borrow from family just to get through the month. I was working full time (x3 12 hour shifts a week) and was taking home after tax roughly £1000. Because of the intensity of the role I was always exhausted after my shifts so I struggled to find other ways of making money to boost my salary. Over my 6 years working in this role I noticed the past year it became financially unviable for me and I believe my colleagues all felt the same.

The low pay, huge work load, shortage of staff & general workplace morale were all starting to take a toll on my mental health around the start of the pandemic and these were huge factors when I made the decision to leave however it was still such a hard decision to make because of the relationships I had built with the staff & patients.

I was always proud to be a healthcare assistant and took lots of pride in my work as I consider myself a caring person but I felt I had no choice but to look for another industry to go into.

3) How long after the announcement of the 1% pay rise did you decide you would quit

After hearing the news on the 1% pay rise myself & past colleagues felt insulted after working so hard through the pandemic and was disappointed in the governments response. I decided to leave 1 week after the response.

4) Did you set up OF first to see whether it made you any money?

I setup Onlyfans a couple of days before leaving my job and was only giving access to my OF account privately at this time (through instagram direct messages.) After these few days I gaged the response and knew from this that it was going to be popular.

5) How long after did you hand in your notice? Did you give reasons on there?

I handed my notice in with immediate effect 1 week after the announcement.
I didn’t give a particular reason to my manager as I didn’t want to unsettle the staff however I did mention that the work had taken a toll on my mental health.

6) How long have you been on OF creating content?

At the time of writing I have been creating content and a member on the OnlyFans platform for a total of 30 days.

7) How successful has it been?

Extremely successful! I really had no idea how far I could take this and am still amazed at how far it has come, already the platform has given me financial freedom and for the first time in my life I am completely debt free!

8) Would you mind giving an estimate of what you earn now from OF in comparison to what you were earning working for the NHS?

I have earned 40k in 2 months and 3 days
