I’m Henry Kaye (artist name Hen) — I make pop music.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I just released a track with the British artists Foxgluvv & Tom Aspaul for Tom’s remix album, “Black Country Discotheque.” There are amazing artists on there like MNEK and Kim Wilde– check it out!
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
The central piece of art in my home is a shirtless photo of Prince. I produce my own music. I went to art school to make chairs for some reason. I have a song coming out on May 7th called “Born 2 Drive.” I can’t drive.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
A rental tux blazer on top with assless chaps on the bottom. And maybe, like, Rick Owens shoes or something.
5. Do you have bad habits? A guilty pleasure you can’t seem to quit?
I keep becoming obsessed with doing things that aren’t lucrative. I also don’t drink enough water.

7. Being on stage feels like….!
I wouldn’t know. I chose to release original music for the first time at the beginning of a global pandemic. I’ll find out soon though…

Favorite brands: Right now, Outsider Division. Love them.
Must have: Right now I live in multiple shades of velour sweatpants.
No-Go: Flip flops. And after the pandemic, sweatpants.

Q: Who is your favorite artist right now?
A: Right now, I’m vibing really hard with Planningtorock. Their style is romantic and full of life — almost like LCD Soundsystem at their best. I also feel like their queer identity and their musical identity are in harmony in a way that I aspire to.
