celandic Insulation from 66°North brought to you by Working Class Heroes

Iceland’s 66°North was founded in 1926 by Hans Kristjánsson, who lived and worked in the harsh conditions of the Westfjords. He began by developing protective gear for the local fishermen whose requirement for suitable equipment was a matter of life and death, and the brand has since grown into a Scandinavian icon when it comes to winter attire.

We thought that the UK might need a little technical boost this winter, so we’ve brought in a lovely collection of down and fleece, perfect for layering up as we approach the proper cold. Still focused on producing the best protective gear possible, all of 66°North’s fleecing is made from Polartec® fabrics, and the Dyngja Down jackets have a sustainable edge, with the shell and lining made from 100% recycled polyester.

It’s been pretty abysmal weather in the Lakes this past week. Perfect weather for putting on a massive jacket and going for a wander about, so we decided to wander to the edge of a very steep and dangerous cliff. Never let it be said we know what we are doing.
