Autumnal Layering with Universal Works

Nottingham-based menswear company Universal Works have made a pretty big name for themselves by developing quality, comfortable and hard-wearing garbs based on classic workwear silhouettes.

Their autumn collection is full of loads of clean-cut pieces in natural tones – a palette we feel right at home wearing, and which blends in beautifully to the Lake District’s grim Octobers.

And trust us, it’s proper grim right now, and we’re loving it. Luckily the north’s torrents slowed down and subsided into a nice, easy shower. The Bakers Chore Jacket, made from a wool and polyamide blend, provides some pretty amazing heat whilst the Padded Short Parka is a weather-resistant nod to some classic Japanese outerwear.
