Singer-Songwriter/ Conceptual Artist /Poet, Cha’ves Jamall debuts his dark, witty, sexy single about mental health. Like many artists before him Cha’ves has called many places home. Born in South Bend, Indiana he has jumped from Chicago to New York City and has recently settled in Paris. He describes his sound as „melodic spoken word with hints of punk & future-soul“ and lists Stromae, Childish Gambino, SZA, and Saul Williams among his many musical influences.
At 26 years old he joins a growing population of young artists who view their work as a form of activism. Using his music ( as well as various other mediums) to contribute to conversations around gender identity, racial inequality and mental health. His work has been featured on several digital publications including Afropunk and The Lunchbx.
