With new album Common Problem proving to be a huge hit amongst the band’s ever-growing fanbase, The LaFontaines are now announcing their appointment as main support to alt-rock heroes Don Broco for the entirety of their UK and European tour dates. Today they are also sharing a video for their next single Armour, which was filmed during their sold-out headline show at Glasgow’s Barrowlands, of which Kerrang! magazine wrote “This end-of-year homecoming, sold-out in front of 2100 fans, feels like the next step toward an inevitable, broader, breakthrough. The LaFontaines are Kings of The North, and they’re not stopping there.”

Armour follows previous singles Asleep, Common Problem, and Too Late, and showcases the band at their riotous best. Never ones to shy away from writing about the social issues of the day, vocalist Kerr Okan sheds some light on the track;

“Armour was the last song we recorded for Common Problem. Two days before the record went to the mastering stage we were sitting with our originally planned 11-track album, but we just had a sense that something was missing. At this point I still felt like I had something left to say on the record. With Explosion, and Asleep I had opened and ended a conversation, but I hadn’t yet fully explained myself – Armour was the punch line. “Lost dreamers who bowed out with no merit/when life hits hard like a right hook they forget it.” Our producer Joe Cross (The Courteeners) added the vocal chops in the verse and it gave me something new to bounce off. The next day I drove down to Manchester to record the lead vocal.”
