[ SEBELL ] is a two-time Juno Award Winner (Canada’s Grammy). The indie pop artist was named by Entertainment Tonight as a “Canadian To Watch” after releasing the Billboard Top 10 hit „Till The Sun Burns Out”, which broke Top 40 Canadian radio in just over a week and a half. [ SEBELL ] followed that success with, „Promiseland“, which debuted on Spotify’s Canadian Viral chart at #1, and later a remix of the same song by STINT (Banks, Gallant, Demi Lovato), which reached #3 on the Hype Machine global remix chart.
Calling Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto and Vancouver home for the past few years (he has belongings in storage in every city), [ SEBELL ] has lived a nomadic life working on his new album, „Songs For Flight Delays“ – the follow-up EP to his self-titled album, featuring the singles, „FOMY (Fear Of Missing You)“ and ‚Island‘.
His thoughts on making the new record:
“I spent the past two years working on this album, living out of a suitcase – one foot in Toronto, one in LA, with belongings still in Nashville from another life. The album is a pop album at its core, but it’s diverse sonically. Sometimes it sounds like pulling into the city late at night on the Gardiner. Sometimes it sounds like you’re about to doze off on a red-eye out of LAX. Sometimes it sounds like you’re at a run down tiki bar. It’s the sound of tension – of seeing where you want to go and still learning to be content with where you are at. And it’s the story of my life these past few years.”
