1. How did you get into modeling?
I started modeling when I was 15 years old. My mother had a friend at work who would see pictures of me in her office and always tell her “ Ryan has a great look, have you ever thought about getting him into modeling? “ she replied “ no, not really.. “ her friend provided her with an agency and I worked with that agency for about 1 year. First print job I ever did was for a children’s book.
2. What are you doing if you are not modeling?
If I am not modeling, I am dancing working on choreography or working on my freestyle. Go to the recording studio and work on my album. Work on the script for the movie “ As It Turns To Stone. “ Aside from that working out, skateboarding; staying active.
3. Whats the strangest thing you have done on set?
My first background work with SNL was explicit, the skit was titled “ The Sexy Calendar Skit. “ Myself and 7 other men were walking around set in boots, American flag speedos, and lathered with baby oil. The skit was cut before airing on the live show because it was too explicit.
4. Any fashion week/casting survival tips?
Always stay ready for the opportunity; stay in shape, stay healthy, and hope for the best.
5. Describe your personal style – maybe show us some of your fav items?!
I like bright colors like pink, green, turquoise, etc… I love rings… I like going to sample sales or thrift stores and getting one of a kind clothing..
6. Whats your grooming regime – any beauty or workout tips?!
Workout as much as I can for about 30minutes every day. As for beauty tips, simply rinsing my face with water throughout the day, especially when done with something that makes me sweat.
7. Where are your roots?
I am 100% Puerto Rican.
8. What funny clichee about people from Puerto Rico is true?
Puerto Ricans that are born in America don’t really know how to speak Spanish like that and I would have to say…… that is very true for me but it is okay… although, I don’t know how to really converse in Spanish, my cooking is Spanish and I feel like as long as you carry something from your roots that’s what counts.
9. Do you have any special Talents?
I can Rap, Act, and Dance.
10. How much of your success do you credit to the education you had?
Not much. I never went to school for my field. I have gotten as far as I have through life lessons and good advice when I have needed it.
