House music production duo Rainer + Grimm have teamed up with UK artist Plain English on their new single “Talk of the Town”. The collaboration creates a unique pairing of vocals from the rapidly expanding grime movement over a drum and bass inspired dancefloor track. Along with the song, the artists have released a visual accompaniment which further pays tribute to UK grime. This new offering from Rainer + Grimm speaks to the duo’s distinct ability to produce a wide range of styles while staying true to their signature sound.
Rainer + Grimm have seen immense success with past releases and remixes reaching streaming numbers in the millions and clocking writing credits on The Weeknd and Drake albums. After various forays into different genres, they wanted to pay homage to UK house and garage with this release. The end result is a fully evolved homage to the movements. They even took inspiration throughout the production process, “this video was done a lot more guerrilla style than any of our last videos but turned out to be our favourite to date. With vocals, the beat and the video all come together better than we could have ever imagined.”
