1. How did you get into modeling?
I loved taking photos of myself at an early age, trying to capture real emotions within my images. When I moved to New York City to attend acting school, I realized in front of the camera is where I like to be. I have let go of my insecurities, I have become more vulnerable in a world that steers you to not be. I think ultimately that I have found a way from it to be free.
2. What are you doing if you are not modeling?
I try to spend my time staying creative in all possible ways. I love to paint, I love to sculpt, design, and construct. I get crazy about making unique clothes that are one of a kind, in general I guess you can say I spend my free time expressing myself. Then some days I work as a security guard for Flaming Saddles!
3. Whats the strangest thing you have done on set?
Definitely the time I had a role on Homeland to play this guy who gets attacked and killed, I literally got paid to come in to an intimate setting with the Directors and roll over like a lifeless corpse a few times, and that was it.
4. Any fashion week/casting survival tips?
Don’t starve yourself, prep your meals so you CAN eat, but eat right. If you want to manage through your hectic schedule at 100% it is important to give your body and mind the best nutrients as well as good sleep and staying hydrated.
5. Describe your personal style – maybe show us some of your fav items?!
I love to make clothes, and rocking them is so fun! Here, is a pair of pants I made with bleach and acrylic ink!
6. Whats your grooming regime – any beauty or workout tips?!
The best workout tip for anyone is to learn exactly what is happening when you workout. Once you understand the science, it’s all about staying true to your regimen to bring results. Nutrition and proper timing of proper nutrients is really the key to success in the gym.
7. Where are your roots?
My dads family tree flows from Scottish and Welsh, and my mothers side consists of some Dutch but mostly Cherokee. I am so grateful to come from such a spiritual group and I definitely feel that power in my heart!
8. Name one celebrity youd like to get naughty with!
Kate Moss is a doll, however I am more of a lover than a pleasure seeker. If I get naughty with anyone, they better be touching my heart!
9. Do you have any special Talents?
Playing Guitar, Singing, Dancing, Train Surfing (I am a frequent surfer of the J line through Brooklyn). The view of standing on top of the train combined with the feeling of flying is breathtaking.
10. How much of your success do you credit to the education you had?
I would say 25%. For me, I can only give credit to the universe for allowing me to be here, to breathe and live and see, to feel. The second we consciously realize the universe deserves all of our praise, then our goals will fall into place.
