Rolling up with a laidback and chilled vibe, Charlie Mase launches the visuals for his latest track ‘Smoke it Loud’.
Starting out as a freestyle across a Vsnry production, which samples ‘Make it Funky For Me’, the 2009 summer anthem from Attacca Pesante, the demand for ‘Smoke it Loud’ has escalated and now Charlie Mase combines both his comedic and entertaining character with his innate musical flair for a brand new visual which just touched down on GRM Daily.
With a sound swaying towards melodic rap, Charlie Mase demonstrates his versatility as his latest endeavour reveals a new dimension to his artistry. Showcasing a recipe of uplifting vibes ‘Smoke it Loud’ is infused with an Afrobeat twist and an enticingly memorable hook that bounces along the familiar sample and rumbling bass. The visuals capture the heart of the track feeding the feel-good essence that radiates throughout.
Having initially established his roots solely as a rapper, the East London native has released a constant flow of YouTube content that has been increasingly well received, including ‘Flavour Freestyle’, ‘8pm in Acton’ and ‘Genesis’. He has also appeared on Tim Westwood’s Crib Sessions alongside rap collective PBGR and graced the Bl@ckbox studio for a freestyle session.
Although rap has played a significant influence in Charlie Mase’s stylistic approach, ‘Smoke it Loud’ marks the beginning of a new chapter expanding his repertoire as an artist.
