British electro-pop duo, Bright Sparks, release their stunning new track ‘Supernatural’. The release follows the band’s acclaimed tracks ‘Slow Motion’ and ‘Wildfire’. The band have also been riding high with their collaboration with Tiesto, ‘On My Way’.

‘Supernatural’ is a masterclass in dark, synth laden pop. The track was produced by Sjoerd DeVries (aka Bravø). The band have also worked with Years & Years’ producer Andy Smith aka Lxury, and Willie Weeks.

Ash Hicklin and Kimmy Sawford may be new to most, but between them they have been responsible for eleven Number One singles, and a number of hits around the globe. Their unique brand of songwriting has been sought after from big name producers ranging from Tiesto to Sam Feldt.

Ash says “We wanted to make music that would grab your heart somehow, and tell stories. It’s easier to make songs believable when there’s sadness somewhere in the lyrics. Nobody believes someone who’s happy the whole time, do they?”

Slow Motion, Kimmy explains, “is about one person wanting more than the other, and how for one half of the couple the pace of the relationship is in slow motion”; Wildfire, meanwhile, is a more understated sound with powerful lyrics about relationships in which true intimacy remains tantalisingly out of reach. Or, in Ash’s words: “There’s always a boundary, a wildfire, between two people that means they can never get close enough.”
A video for ‘Supernatural’ will be revealed soon.
