Getting ready for the summer means making sure your body looks absolutely amazing – or at least as amazing as you’re able to make it. Not everyone is happy with the way they look, but if you want to hit the beach and have everyone look at you, you need to get ready. Doing this is neither easy nor simple, and you’re going to have to invest a ton of energy and time into this. Luckily, there are lots of ideas, methods, and techniques you can use, depending on your body type, your personal preferences, the amount of free time you have, and how much you’re actually passionate about this. If you too want to get ripped before the next summer and are lacking motivation, here are five ideas that might help you do that.

Start right now

This might seem like the most generic and useless tip in the world, but it’s actually something that can end up making a huge difference in your summer look. Depending on your current weight and look, you might need more time to get ripped than you believe. If you haven’t been hitting the gym recently or have been eating more than before, you could be facing a huge problem as soon as the summer arrives. But, if you start right now, you could have just enough time to look sensational all summer long.

Getting ripped takes a lot of time, regardless of your age, sex, weight, and motivation. It’s a long, boring, and tiring process that requires you to think outside the box and do things you generally don’t like doing. From having to stop eating all that junk food you love so much to joining a gym, these things simply take time, and you can’t do it overnight. That’s why starting as early as winter makes a lot of sense in the long run, so start right now and don’t look back!

Define your goals

Some people love having a six-pack, others just want a lean body, and the third would like to make their shoulders and biceps bigger than ever. Different people want different things, and not everyone defines “being ripped” in the same way. That’s why it’s crucial to figure out what you want to achieve and define your goals individually. This might take some time, but it’s ultimately the only way for you to be happy with your body.

Of course, there are lots of different goals you could take into considerations, and you should divide them into your short- and long-term goals. The former should help you get your body in shape in a matter of weeks, and boost your metabolism in a quick and easy way. Your long-term goals will take you to the next level and help you maintain your body image and weight until you’re ready to hit the beach and stay there all day long.

Work out at home

One of the reasons lots of people have no physical activity is their lack of time and energy to go to the gym three or four times a week. And, to be honest, having to drive for an hour in order to work out for another hour, and then spend yet another hour driving back home is quite exhausting. But, what if changed the paradigm and started working out at home instead?

You don’t have to turn your entire living space into an impromptu gym, but only a few items should do it. A set of dumbbells, a stationary bike, and a reliable water rower will do more for your summer look than you could’ve imagined. Those rowing machines activate almost all muscles in your body and help you work on your physique every single day, and that’s something we all need nowadays.

Find a buddy

Working out on your own is a great way to get ripped, but this method can turn out to be quite boring and uninspiring. But, if you work out with another person, you could be doing more work in less time and be even more successful than ever. This person needs to be someone you’re comfortable with – a close friend, a relative, a sibling, or a partner – but also someone who will push you to work out harder.

Even though most people pick their friends to be their exercising buddies, the point isn’t hanging out with those people, but working out with them. That’s why you might consider finding someone who’s stronger and more ripped than you because that person will motivate and inspire you to be more like them.

Change your diet

Eating junk food every single day is amazing when you’re twenty, but that’s not the best thing in the world when you get older. This is particularly important if you’re trying to get ripped before the summer, so you might as well forget about eating junk food ever again. Changing your diet will take a lot of time, but it’s something you just have to do if you wish to look your best.

Besides removing junk food and soda drinks from your diet, you should also insist on having five or six well-balanced and healthy meals a day. So, start creating a meal plan right now, but be sure to consult your doctor and your nutritionist.

Getting ripped before the summer is, at the same time, one of the hardest and most satisfying things you’ll do this year. Start this process today, and start getting ready for the best summer of your life!
